```Job Summary```
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our transportation team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the movement of freight and ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience with transportation management systems and possess excellent communication skills.
```Duties```
- Receive and process customer orders for transportation services
- Coordinate with drivers to schedule pick-up and delivery times
- Utilize GPS and transportation management systems to track shipments
- Monitor driver progress and provide updates to customers
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatching activities
- On call nights and weekends including holidays.
```Experience```
- Previous experience in dispatching or transportation planning preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and phone etiquette
- Proficiency in using GPS and transportation management systems
- Knowledge of Motive and Verizon ELD systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
